College Day Experience

For years I have been told about how I need to keep my grades up and do well in my after school activities so that I will get into a good college. Now that my freshman year is almost over and I will be going off to college in just a few years, the way I look at colleges has changed dramatically. While I was on the campus of USC I thought that I would feel small and helpless compared to the big College students. However when I got there, I realized that all of these people are only a few years older than me. I actually felt very comfortable there. while there I learned just how intense college is going to be. I never thought about things like housing and food. Something that surprised me was how expensive the colleges were. I knew that tuition was expensive but I never knew that it would cost $53,000 a year! I can't even comprehend that much money. All i could think about during the tour was how I will be going off to college in just a few short years. The thought both excited and scared me. However when I tried to see my self at USC, I had trouble picturing myself there. The main reason was that there was no way would have enough money, and secondly USC is a private school, and I don't really like the kind of people who are attracted to public schools.
