Sensory Writing, Smell/Taste
Movies, summer, fun. All things that we associate with popcorn. Just the pungent smell of it, brings back a flood of memories of visits to the theater. Its the smell of listening, and undivided attention. Like the odor of it alone is constantly listening, waiting for the movie to start. When the aroma first comes billowing out of the bag and bombards your face with the pure essence of happiness, and contentment. Your mouth starts to water, and you can't hold yourself back you have to have some of the little puffy clouds that have been beckoning you. Then when you take your first bite, that's when the previews end and the feature presentations starts. The explosion of flavor in my mouth. The laughter of the butter. The suspense of the popcorn. The drama of the salt. All of these flavors, when directed by the eater, come together to make the biggest summer blockbuster of them all.
